UKG → Vantagepoint
One entry point for personnel data, with employee information flowing automatically into Vantagepoint.
Christopher B. Burke Engineering started by removing duplicate entry between core systems. As the value became clear, the integration footprint expanded across employee data, mileage, spend, communications and a broader Workato foundation.
CBBEL had important business processes crossing systems that were not fully connected. Personnel data was being entered in both UKG and Vantagepoint. Mileage also required a more streamlined way to track direct project expenses and support regulatory requirements.
The individual workflows were different, but the friction was consistent: people were bridging gaps between systems by hand.
CBBEL first connected UKG with Vantagepoint so employee information entered in UKG could automatically transfer into Vantagepoint. That reduced duplicate entry and the manual errors that came with it.

TripLog captures mileage by GPS. Staff associate the trip with a project, and the data is uploaded to the corresponding Vantagepoint record.
“This integration helps us access data that we didn't have before, making it easier to comply with regulations and do a better job recovering our business vehicle miles.”
The relationship did not stop with a successful point integration. CBBEL's current Rhodium and Workato footprint extends across spend management, employee communications, mileage tracking and an enterprise integration foundation.
Remove duplicate personnel entry and improve consistency between HR and ERP.
Automate mileage capture and connect expenses directly to the right project record.
Extend the integration footprint into company spend and financial operations.
Connect another operational system into the wider business data environment.
Create a governed foundation for broader automation, integration and future AI-enabled workflows.
CBBEL’s integration journey followed a repeatable path: document the operating landscape, locate the friction, route the right connections and keep advancing the environment as new priorities emerged.
Document the current operating landscape.
Identify friction, gaps and duplicate work.
Define the practical integration path forward.
Expand from proven integrations into broader automation.
Employees no longer need to manually record mileage in timesheets, and personnel data does not need to be entered twice.
Mileage flows directly to the appropriate Vantagepoint project record through a single point of entry.
More complete mileage data improves visibility into billable and non-billable project costs.
More reliable mileage tracking helps support regulatory requirements and vehicle-mileage recovery.
CBBEL's progression illustrates a simple pattern: solve a visible process problem, prove the value of integration, then expand into adjacent workflows where disconnected systems create friction.
That creates a more maintainable operating environment and a stronger foundation for future automation and AI.
Start with a concrete operational problem that can be scoped and solved quickly.
Demonstrate value through fewer manual handoffs, cleaner data and a smoother process.
Use the trusted integration foundation to address broader automation and transformation needs.
